Welcome to the Advanced Chorus Page!
The Advanced Chorus is a performance class. Though the students will continue learning to read music and play the piano, the majority of their effort is to prepare for our performances. All performances are required and if a student is unable to attend, a written make-up assignment will need to be completed. The written assignment is to either attend a concert from a different school or watch one on you tube or TV. The student will need to write a paper (5 paragraphs minimum) evaluating the concert. The make-up assignment will be due the final week of any given quarter.
Concert #1:
Our first performance is our Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday night, Oct. 12, 2017. The students will need to stay afterschool with me. We will practice and then we will prepare the cafeteria for our guest and the students will become the serving staff. The students will eat at 5:00 pm and then change into appropriate clothing. We will open to the public at 5:30 pm and serve to 6:30 pm. Our concert will start at 6:45 pm and finish by 7:15 pm. Students are also responsible for the clean up portion of the evening. The cost for a plate of spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and drink is $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for students.
Money due for the Advanced Chorus t shirts is October 4th. The cost is $12.
Fundraiser pickup will be October 24th from 3:30-6:30
The dates for the Universal Trip are May 4-6. Cost is $475. First payment is due 9/29
The Winter Chorus concert will be held December 12 (A Day) and December 13 (B Day). Advanced Chorus students will attend both days. Students should should wear all black with rubber soled shoes. Doors will open at 6:30 and the concert will start at 7pm.
